Making Christ Truly Present to Those in Need By Performing Works of Mercy
Outreach Ministry depends on the generosity of your time, talents and treasure. Listed below are the ways you can donate to help those in need.
To donate food and hygiene items: Bring non-perishiable food items or hygiene items to the colletion bins near the reception desk. Food received will be distributed through either our Snack Bag Ministry, or through the St. Vincent de Paul or Buckhead Christian Ministry's food pantries. Hygiene items will go to the shelters at the Atlanta Union Mission, My Sister's House, MUST Ministries or Covenant House Georgia. Click here to get a shopping list.
To donate clothing: We have two St. Vincent de Paul collection bins for clothing donations located on the first and second levels of the Parking Deck.
To donate furniture, appliances or household items: You can drop off items Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm at the St. Vincent de Paul Donation Center located at 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Rd., Chamblee, GA 30341. For larger items, contact St. Vincent de Paul at 770-457-9798 to arrange a pick up.
To donate cars or trucks: St. Vincent de Paul accepts donations of cars, trucks and boats and uses income generated by donated vehicles to provide assistance to those in need. Go to http://www.svdpatl.org/donatecar.php or call 770-458-5415 or e-mail cars@svdpatl.org for more information.
Gift Cards: Purchase or "regift" the gift cards you receive for birthdays or holidays. All gift cards are welcome; the most needed gift cards include gas cards, Publix or Kroger grocery store cards, Target and Wal-Mart gift cards.
Monetary Donations: Monies received by Outreach Ministry are used to make wholesale purchases of hygiene kits, flip flops, underwear, socks, blankets and pillows for the Covenant House Georgia, MUST Ministries, the Atlanta Union Mission and My Sister's House.
