The Cathedral of Christ the King works in partnership with community organizations and ministries to help those without a permanent place to live. We support them with volunteers, material donations and financial assistance.
Atlanta Union Mission and My Sister's House
AUM is a non-denominational Christian ministry that works to touch, teach and transform the lives of more than 1000 homeless men, women and children every day by providing a continuum of emergency services, residential recovery programs, and transitional housing. Volunteer Opportunities Include: serving meals, proving childcare, mentoring, landscaping, assisting with meal preparation, and hosting special events.

Covenant House Georgia
Covenant House Georgia is a crisis support and emergency shelter for homeless, runaway and "throwaway" kids under the age of 21. Part of an international network founded in New York in 1973, Covenant House Georgia opened its doors in Atlanta in 2000. To be a CHGA volunteer, an individual must be 21 years of age or older, and must go through a training period. Volunteers can work with youth in a variety of ways: assisting in classes and workshops, tutoring in the GED or HISD labs, mentoring, going out on the Outreach Van, organizing recreational activities, etc. Volunteers also provide clerical assistance and work in our gardens.
