Respect Life Committee
The goal of this committee is to educate people about protection of life issues by working with the Archdiocese Pro-life Office to increase awareness of pro-life issues and many of the task forces necessary to support this effort. We also support causes such as Adopt a Mother/Child, baby clothes donations, and provide information on issues before our representatives. For those who are willing, we join other Christian communities in prayer for those faced with the decision to choose life. We meet the second Thursday of the month.
Snack Bag Ministry
Each month Christ the King provides approximately 100 snack bags to hungry individuals who come to our doors. Please help us feed the hungry by making snack bags or donating non perishable, individual pull top cans of a main dish item (such as chili, macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, beef stew or ravioli) and juice or milk box drinks for the snack bags. As little as $2 can alleviate hunger. You can also help by joining us on the last Monday of the month at 7pm to make the bags.
Sandwich Making
Volunteers are needed to make and deliver sandwiches to downtown men’s homeless shelter. The group meets once a month on the first Monday of the month from November to March at 7:00 pm in the Hyland Center. Great project for families and students needing service hours.
